BALLET

The beauty and grace of classical ballet teaches poise, good carriage, flexibility and strength.
Ballet is the foundation to all forms of dance. All students dancing will be enhanced by the benefits of ballet and is recommended as a good grounding for the would be dancer. Ballet exams from Beginner to Advance and Teacher Cert III or Cert IV in Dance Training and Management.

TAP

Rhythmical, stylish, fun and noisy are the best ways to describe this incredible style of dance. Training in tap gives you diverse mind and body co-ordination as well as teaching time and rhythm. Tap is also taught in grades Beginners to Advanced and Teachers Cert III and IV in Dance Training and Management.

ADS also offer the exciting new “TAPS “n” BEATS exam syllabus created by Nathan Sheens (of Tap Dogs fame). This tap Syllabus is guaranteed to excite students to learn a great new hip style of tap!

JAZZ

Jazz has many diverse styles within itself so the music and moves are widely varied such as the sleek smooth jazz style of Gene Kelly to the cool and sophisticated choreography of the great Bob Fosse.
So whether you want to dance to the music of today’s top 40 or of yester year and all in between modern music then jazz’s flexible style is for you.
Jazz exams are also taken by the students at ADS.  Jazz exams from Beginner to Advance and Teacher Cert III & Cert IV in Dance Training and Management.

HIP HOP

This fun energetic dance style has it’s own language, music and wardrobe style. Learn how to isolate your body to perform the popping, crumping and locking styles that define the Hip Hop dance moves.

MUSICAL THEATRE

For students who wish to perform in the musicals at our annual concert. Singing, dancing, miming and acting are all part of this super fun class. Students are required to be enrolled in Ballet or Jazz class to be eligible for these classes.

STRETCH AND CONDITIONING

This class is recommended for all dancers. Flexibility and core strength is a must for all dancers to dance at the best of their ability.
Having a toned and flexible body helps prevent injury.

COMPETITIONS

Selected students are chosen to perform solo and troupe dances in competitions. These students must obtain a high standard of dance in all genres and are ready to be dedicated and committed to compete.
